What to Bring on a Dolphin Cruise

Get ready for a few hours of fun in the sun, taking in gorgeous scenery and some very exciting wildlife sightings.

If you’ve made the decision to come along for a Sunset Dolphin Cruise St. Pete Beach FL, you’re in luck. This is one of the best and most popular tours (though of course every cruise we offer is pretty awesome). Once you’re booked in, it is time to start planning your visit.

Bottled Water

Staying hydrated is vital when you’re outside in the strong sun. It is recommended bringing a full water bottle with you onboard. Though snacks and drinks are available for purchase on vessels, come prepared with your water bottle so you can feel your best throughout the journey.

A Light Sweater or Jacket

It may be generally sunny and warm, but out on the water, temperatures can cool. The natural sea breeze is often quite brisk, and there is also the chance of a bit of sea spray at times. It is highly recommended bringing a warm item of clothing in case it becomes brisk out on the water. This is especially helpful on cloudy or windy days. Suggested apparel includes a light sweater, sweatshirt, or flannel.

Sunnies, a Hat, and Suncream

Sun protection is no joke! Keep your skin safe by applying suncream prior to your departure. A hat will also help to keep the sun off your face and out of your eyes, and can also guard against messy hair in the sea winds. Sunnies are also suggested as the sun’s reflection on the water can be bright or glaring. A good pair of sunglasses will protect your eyes and ensure you are able to spot all those exciting wildlife sightings!

Your Camera

The memories you make on your dolphin cruise or other eco tour are those you’ll want to remember and share with others. Don’t forget to bring your camera to capture them. The camera you bring along is at your discretion, but many of guests find that their phones or GoPro cameras work best. If possible, bring a waterproof covering/case, to guard against sea sprays.

A Towel & Swimwear (Summer Boom Netting Only)

Dolphin tour is not a chance to swim with the wildlife, unfortunately, so you can leave your bathers at home. If you are looking to get wet and have fun in the sea, however, then summer boom netting cruise will be right up your alley. Boom netting is all about splishing and splashing so be sure to pack your swimwear and a towel for this occasion.
